Till recently they were treated as enemies. But the inaugural event of AP capital Amravathi brought them close and made them friends. Who are they?
They are undoubtedly the Telangana CM KCR and Andhra pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu.
KCR reached Amaravati by air and witnessed the photo exhibition on the history and legacy of Amaravati. KCR also took part in the traditional puja, while Modi performed the rituals. The AP government has rightly honored KCR by inscribing his name on the Amaravati inaugural plaque.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR vowed to extend all the support from Telangana towards the development of AP’s capital city Amaravati. During his 3-minute speech, KCR first extended Vijaya Dasami wishes to the people of Andhra Pradesh on behalf of the people of Telangana.
The Telangana CM further stated that Amaravati will become a world-class city and prosper the lives of its people as it is being inaugurated on this auspicious day of Vijaya Dasami. What’s even more memorable moment was that when KCR mentioned Chandrababu’s name, there was a loud cheer from the crowds.
Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu too congratulate Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for sharing the dais for the first time after the division of the unified Andhra Pradesh.
The memorable event of AP capital Amaravati inaugural ceremony has been attended by the who’s who of political world, including the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Governor Narasimhan and several union ministers. However, the special attraction was undoubtedly the Telangana CM KCR.
Ever since, Chandrababu personally invited KCR to the Amaravati foundation stone laying ceremony, the AP government took it as a great and a special responsibility to make every moment of KCR’s visit to Amaravati special. Honoring KCR all started with the inscription of his name on the Amaravati inaugural plaque.
Chandrababu went all the way to make his counterpart feel special during the inauguration. While Modi was performing the rituals of inauguration, he was flocked by Babu, Venkaiah Naidu and then KCR. Babu also made KCR sit close to Narendra Modi on the dais and specially posed for photographers with KCR while handing over the flower bouquet.
KCR and Babu also exchanged a few pleasantries on the dais. This cordial bonhomie will no doubt create a healthy relationship between governments and the people of both the Telugu states.
