No Andhra parties in Telangana state


kcrHyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K. Chandrasekhara Rao declared that there was no need for Seemandhra parties in the Telangana State.

Speaking after admitting former TDP leaders Satyavathi Rathod and Nagesh into the party by honoring them with TRS scarves, KCR said Telangana government would spare no efforts to ensure irrigation water to every acre of land in Adilabad district within two years. Attributing Telangana statehood due to the supreme sacrifices made by the students and youths in the region, KCR called upon the people of Telangana to join the gigantic task of developing the new State as dreamt by the people.

The TRS president said there was urgent need to construct irrigation projects in the Telangana State in order to bring about green revolution in the region. Pointing out that girijans would be most benefited people in the Telangana State, KCR reiterated that he would definitely implement his promise of providing 12 percent reservation to the tribals.

Stressing the need for girijans dominating in the girijan hamlets, KCR assured that he would upgrade all the tribal hamlets into panchayats. He alleged that Seemandhra rulers had cheated Warangal district by not completing the Sri Ram Sagar Project State-II. He pointed out that parched lands in Warangal district would turn green after the Jurala project was completed.

Lamenting that tribal children and people were dying for want of transport facilities, the TRS chief said the Telangana government would strive to introduce helicopter Ambulance service to the interior tribal villages.

Interestingly, TRS workers displayed placards which read “We don’t want merger with Congress”.
