Hyderabad: BJP vice-president and former Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya today said imposition of President’s rule in Andhra Pradesh was an act of butchering democracy and black day for the people of the State.
“It was surprising that even after people giving mandate to rule for five years, the Congress has decided to impose President’s rule which was condemnable”, he stated in a statement here. The State was under chaos and there was no government since last one year, he said.
Dattatreya further stated that the Congress high command had made up its mind to have two chief ministers for Telangana and Seemandhra last week only but failed to do so. “This shows that AICC president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi have lost control over its leaders in Andhra Pradesh. Deploring delay in formation of two States, the BJP leader demanded that the Centre immediately form two States and conduct elections peacefully.
