There will be no more traditional fight between Congress and Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh as YSR Congress party emerged as a force in the state. As per the CNN-IBN & the Hindu survey conducted by CSDS, YSR Congress party would win 11-15 Lok Sabha seats in 2014 elections, Congress 11-15, TDP 6-10, TRS-5-9, others 0-4.
The survey said YS Jaganmohan Reddy is the best person to lead the state of Andhra Pradesh with 25% of people (over all) supporting against 17% for TDP president Chandrababu Naidu.
The survey has confirmed the earlier analysis done by India Today that YS Jaganmohan Reddy is the most popular leader in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
More worry for TDP is that 42% of people in Andhra region want Jagan as Chief Minister while only 19% supported the candidature of Chandrababu Naidu, Kiran 9% and Chiranjeevi got just 2%. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) also seen an eight percent fall to 17 from 25 percent in 2009.
As per the CNN-IBN & the Hindu survey, Chiranjeevi who is sometimes projected as the Chief Ministerial candidate in 2014 found only 2% in all regions supporting his candidatures for the Chief Minister post. In an unbelievable development, 32% of Congress supporters have expressed their views that YS Jaganmohan Reddy would be a better choice than their own Kiran Kumar Reddy.
20% believe that YS Jaganmohan Reddy is being implicated by his political opponents with false cases.
The survey revealed that Congress party in Andhra Pradesh is having a tough time due to the rise of YS Jaganmohan Reddy and the Telangana issue.
CNN-IBN & the Hindu survey said 66% (national) of the people believe that the present UPA government is corrupt and N Ram of Hindu termed the rating as ‘bad for UPA government’. Asked about which party is better in curbing corrution, 30% respondents said BJP and 20% Congress. A whopping 69% people have said corruption increased during UPA rule.
