New Delhi:
Ever since Kiran Kumar Reddy announced his resignation to the Chief Minister’s post, there is a guessing game on who will be his successor of Kiran.

Over a dozen senior leaders from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh intensified their lobbying with the Congress High Command in Delhi. Reports coming from the national capital suggest that the next CM will be a leader from Kapu community. One name that is being considered by the High Command is that of union minister Chiranjeevi.

On Tuesday morning, Chiranjeevi met AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh to discuss the political situation in the state.

Speaking to the media after meeting Digvijay Singh, Chiranjeevi expressed his desire to takeup the CM’s post.
He said that he was ready to shoulder any responsibility to strengthen the Congress party in the state.
The two are believed to have discussed about the Congress party’s campaigning in Seemandhra region and future course of action

Meanwhile, another Union Minister from Seemandhra region Killi Kruparani received a call from Delhi asking her to meet Sonia Gandhi tomorrow.

It was interesting to watch the union minister back his party for taking a huge decision such as bifurcation of state. In his first speech to the Parliament, Chiranjeevi hit out at BJP, YSRCP and TDP saying they had initially agreed to the division of state but backed off now and trying to stall the Telangana process to gain the sympathy of voters.

The latest buzz doing the rounds in the political circles is that the actor-turned-politician has been chosen as the chief ministerial candidate by the Congress top leadership for Andhra Pradesh. If this does come true, then Chiru’s much-cherished dream of becoming a CM will become reality.

While speculation is still rife of AP being put under the President’s rule, the reports coming from the national capital suggest otherwise.
