It was interesting to watch the union minister give a speech backing his party for taking a huge decision such as bifurcation of state. In his first speech to the Parliament, Chiranjeevi hit out at BJP, YSRCP and TDP saying they had initially agreed to the division of state but backed off now and trying to stall the Telangana process to gain the sympathy of voters.
The latest buzz doing the rounds in the political circles is that the actor-turned-politician has been chosen as the chief ministerial candidate by the Congress top leadership for Andhra Pradesh. If this does come true, then Chiru’s much-cherished dream of becoming a CM will become reality.
It’s worth mentioning here that Kiran Kumar Reddy who resigned from his post yesterday refused an offer from the governor to continue as the caretaker CM. While speculation is still rife of AP being put under the President’s rule, the reports coming from the national capital suggest otherwise.
Grapevine has it that the Congress High Command will announce its decision on AP chief minister tomorrow.
