New Delhi: Setting aside the confrontationist stand taken by Telangana Congress leaders with TRS, the central Congress leaders have expressed their readiness to forge a pre-poll tie-up with KCR’s party.
T Congress leaders started attacking TRS and its chief KCR over the last two days after the latter’s thumbs down to merger.
Congress General Secretary in-charge of AP affairs Digvijay Singh said a committee of Telangana Congress leaders will be set up very soon. And this committee will hold talks with the committee of TRS leaders headed by K. Keshava Rao.
Digvijay reiterated that KCR has promised to merge his party with Congress, but he has nothing to say on KCR’s decision not to do so now.
Union minister Jairam Ramesh who is currently in Warangal, said that discussions on a pre-poll tie-up with TRS is going at the highest level.
