Hyderabad: AICC state affairs incharge Digvijay Singh today called on Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy and held discussions on having alliance with the TRS. Along with Telangana Congress Committee working president, Utham Kumar Reddy, Singh shared his views on the alliance with other parties and selecting candidates for the general elections.
Their meeting assume significance as the state is going to polls and three appointed committees will finalise the list of candidates who will win. It is pertinent to note that AICC appointed two PCCs one for Telangana and other for residuary state of Andhra Pradesh. And Digvijay is here to scrutinize the list for both the regions and discussions with respective leaders are being held. Jaipal Reddy and Singh have shared the views on the poll prospects and follow diktats of the high command. Singh is said to have revealed the mind of the high command to adopt ‘wait and watch” policy to have alliance with the TRS. Though he did not give any indication in this regard, it is learnt that the Congress is in favor of having truck with the TRS as its boss K Chandrasekhar Rao denied merger.
