They Divided AP, but cant Divide Telugu People: Jagan


ys-jaganHyderabad: “Though the State was bifurcated, it was not possible to divide Telugu people”, YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has said.

Speaking at a training camp of party workers, Jaganmohan Reddy said his party would survive in Telangana too as it had supporters in the region. He reiterated that his party was strong enough to bring about Rajanna Rajyam in the State very soon.

Alleging that some inimical forces were trying to gain political mileage by bifurcating the State, Jaganmohan Reddy said, “We are going to elections at this critical juncture. The unity among the Telugu people will yield good results. We failed to keep the State united due to collusion between the ruling party and the main Opposition parties in the State and at the Centre.”

Indirectly targeting AICC president Sonia Gandhi and BJP floor leader in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, Jagan said “two women” leaders were seeking votes from the people of the State by describing themselves as “Peddamma” and “Chinnamma”. The Leader of the Opposition in the State was also directing Telangana party leaders to celebrate State’s bifurcation saying Telangana State was created due to his letter given to the Centre, he pointed out.

The YSRCP chief also alleged that the Congress was not in a position to seek votes because if its omissions and commissions. The Congress government in the state has diluted welfare schemes of late chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in the last five years, he charged.
