Drunk Hyderabad Cop Thrashed by Public


Drunk-Hyderabad-CopIn an embarrassing incident to the Hyderabad police department, an Inspector of their own, has caused a ruckus on the city roads by driving his four-wheeler in heavily drunken state. As a result, two persons suffered injuries and three vehicles damaged.

Identified as Girish Rao, who works as an Instructor at Police Training Centre in Medchal, was found to have more than 230 mg blood alcohol content (the permissible level is 30-35 mg), when subjected to breath analyser test. Passers-by stopped his vehicle, a SUV with a red colour ‘POLICE’ sticker on it, and thrashed him when he was trying to run away after damaging the vehicles that were parked by the road. The injured couple was shifted to a nearby hospital.

The local police rushed to the spot and detained Rao. A criminal case has been registered against him and departmental disciplinary action is likely to initiated. The vehicle in which the cop was driving has four pending challans.
