Amaravati: Minister Nara Lokhes ordered the officers to work according to the Chief Minister’s directive to provide 24 million holidays this year to the pensioners in the scheme. Lokesh examined with the Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, and Swadesi Andhra Corporation officials in the Secretariat. He discussed the key decisions and the trends that have taken place so far.
The officials brought to the attention of the minister that less than Rs 10 lakh was spent under the Employment Scheme in 1839 villages across the state. Officials said that less than half of the villages in the last six months have been reduced to more than half. The Lokayukta officials questioned why one of the panchayats had not done anything under the NREGA. In every village in March next year, the authorities have ordered the work to be done not less than Rs 20 lakh. As part of this scheme, an average wage of Rs 141 is given daily. It will soon take steps to get Rs 165.
