Rajahmundry: President of Jai Samaikyandhra party Kiran Kumar Reddy revealed at the first-ever public meeting organized to mark the birth of the party, that people of Andhra Pradesh love Gandhi family and leaders like him ask people for votes in the name of Gandhi family.
When Congress high-command held discussions on the issue of Telnagana, Kiran told Congress President Sonia Gandhi that if the state is divided, Congress leaders cannot go to people and ask votes in the name of Gandhi family!
He however questioned the attitude of the BJP in colluding with the ruling Congress to pass the Bill, despite being the principal Opposition party.
He said the Bill was passed in Rajya Sabha despite several parties like TMC, JD (U) and Akali Dal opposed the Bill as illegal and Unconstitutional.
Kiran hoped that Supreme Court will give an order to send the T Bill back to the state Assembly for passage and then proceed. He lambasted Union Minister Jairam Ramesh for calling Rajahmundry as a place for graveyards.
Kiran blamed “Peddababu” Chandrababu Naidu and “Chinnababu” YS Jaganmohan Reddy for giving letters to the Centre to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh. “Pedda Babu and Chinna Babu have given the letters and Peddamma (Sonia Gandhi) and Chinnamma (Sushma Swaraj) have divided the state,” he quipped.
Also, Kiran’s party has a lofty aim. The aim was articulated by MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar when he addressed the public meeting at Rajahmundry, which marks the formal birth of the party.
Vundavalli said all the 25 MPs who will be elected from Seemandhra in the 2014 elections shall obstruct functioning of Lok Sabha until justice is done to Andhra Pradesh.
He said the Congress-led UPA government has passed the T Bill in complete darkness by closing the doors of Parliament to people. He lambasted the Congress for the behavior of its top leaders when the process of bifurcation was started off with Cabinet note on October 3.
He however said the passing of the Bill is not legal and Constitutional.
He asserted that JSP will not allow the process of bifurcation to reach completion. He hoped that the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court will definitely quash the AP Reorganization Act 2014.
Arun Kumar gave the reason for the “delay” in announcing the party. He said the leaders were only waiting for Supreme Court to admit the petitions filed against bifurcation and the Telangana Bill.
He asserted that “Telugu Talli is not dead yet”.
