Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao attended the Ugadi festival celebrations in Pragathi Bhavan today. The celebrations started with Panchaanga Shravanam (reading of almanac) by Veda Pandits, then Ugadi Samabaralu was held wherein numerous veda pandits from different regions of the state were felicitated by the CM. After all the celebrations, the TRS Chief said that Telangana’s progress was playing a special part in the country’s development.

Talking to a gathering, the chief minister stressed on the importance of Astrology in our daily life. Terming Astrology as “science”, he said, “the Astrologists suggest that the upcoming year would bring prosperity to the state in all aspects. They also specified that illegal activities will come down this year in our state. Telangana’s progress is playing a special part in the country’s development. Some elected representatives are said to be denied tickets this year. Party leaders should spend more time in public.”

Delivering the customary “Panchaanga Shravanam”, Astrologist Bachampalli Santosh Kumar Sharma has stated some important findings. “At least five ministers are set to lose their ministerial berths, and it would get difficult for them to regain the portfolios. Some of the MLAs, with certain zodiac signs will not get the tickets in the upcoming elections. There is a chance for corruption in the Endowments Department. Monsoons will continue till November and there are chances for floods to occur. With the strength and support of Sun, CM KCR can not only flourish in Telangana, but also in the national politics. Media organizations would have plenty of news to cover this year,” he said.
