Hyderabad: It seems the isolation of NTR scion Harikrishna and his star son Junior NTR in TDP is reaching finality. Now, the clinching issue will be whether Hari Krishna gets a ticket or not – whether it is Vijayawada East or Nuziveedu.
While Hari Krishna has so far failed to get a ticket to contest elections, Junior NTR is not seen anywhere in the poll arena, in whatever role. This is quite significant because Junior NTR was the star campaigner for the party in 2009 elections.
This time, he is seen nowhere and the talk of TDP having an informal understanding with another Tollywood star Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena party, is everywhere.
On a day when the other NTR scion Bala Krishna has filed his nomination to Hindupur Assembly seat with much fanfare, Hari Krishna came out with a statement that he has asked Chandra Babu Naidu to give him a seat to contest.
According to Harikrishna, he has asked Babu to give him Penamaluru seat in his native Krishna district. But Naidu told him Bala Krsihna has asked for it. Then, Hari Krishna asked him for Hindupur seat and got the same reply for it.
Speaking to mediapersons, Harikrishna said he had requested Chandrababu Naidu to field him from Penamaluru Assembly constituency during the latter’s padayatra. “But they are spreading false campaign that I did not seek a seat at all. It is totally false. He also reminded that he had asked for Hindupuram Lok Sabha seat during the party politburo meeting.
Now, Chandrababu has not finalized candidates for Vijayawada East and Nuziveedu seats, because there is a tough fight between rival groups in the party for these seats.
Hari Krishna’s name is being tipped as a “middle way” choice for either of these seats. Gadde Rammohan and Yalamanchili Ravi are competing for Vijayawada seat.
Tollywood actor and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu’s brother-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna today filed his nomination papers from Hindupur Assembly constituency in Anantapur district on behalf of the TDP.
Earlier, the actor reached Bengaluru by air from Hyderabad. Later he reached Hindupur by road and performed special pujas in Sugura Anjaneya Swamy temple in Hindupur along with his family members.
Accompanied by a large number of his fans and party workers, Balakrishna went in a procession and filed his nomination. After filing nomination, Bala Krishna appealed to voters to chose betweeen CBN with 40 yrs political experience and Jagan who spent 16 months in jail.
