Senior political leader Daggubati Venkateshwara Rao seems to have proved a point.Congress MLA Daggubati Venakateshwar Rao has utilized the “rejection vote” introduced in the Rajya Sabha elections for the first time by the Central Election Commission.
Daggubati met Chief Minister Kiran Kuamr Reddy and informed him about his decision not to vote in the Rajya Sabha elections. He also informed the same to PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana before going to vote.
Speaking to media persons after selecting the “None of the Above” in the ballot paper.
“Whatever we are doing, in a way that high-command tells us in a whimsical manner. All of us have resigned in the aftermath of December 9, 2009. Again, in the recent months, we have been asked to seak against the high-command. And now, those leaders who have guided us in this activities, have now come before us candidates. I felt very bad about all this and decided to reject all candidates.
Daggubati expressed disgust that the Congress high-command has taken the decision on bifurcation without consulting Seemandhra people.
