Telangana CM K Chandrasekhara Rao’s daughter and MP K Kavitha, who fought tooth and nail for the bifurcation of Telugu states, has enthralled all the attendees by chanting “Jai Telangana, Jai Andhra Pradesh” slogan at the ‘World Women Parliament Conference’ that began in Vijayawada today.
She started her speech uttering ‘Jai Telangana – Jai Andhra’ slogan amidst thundering applause from the participants mainly the Andhra representatives. The jagruthi leader said that her organization is dedicated to revive and preserve Telangana culture which was on the verge of extinction until recently. She exhorted Andhra people to protect their own culture and give it as a gift to their future generations like the ancestors did for the present generation.
Kavitha said that women have always been front runners in fight against injustice in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. ‘Several women from Andhra also excelled in different fields including politics,’ she said again bringing cheers from Andhra representatives.
Before attending the conference, she visited famous Kanaka Durga temple in Vijayawada and offered special prayers to the deity.
