Hyderabad: TDP MLA Payyavula Keshav joined the issue with Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy on the contentious AP Reorganization Bill 2013.According to Payyavula, Jaipal Reddy’s new-found love for Telangana is due to his eye on the Chief Minister’s post.
Payyavula took exception to Jaipal’s statement that the President will send the T bill to Cabinet. Reminding that the President of India is an independent institution although aided and advised by the Union Council of ministers, President’s actions cannot be predicted nor prejudged.
Payyavaula warned Union ministers Shinde, Jaipal and Congress general secretary in-charge of state affairs that he will compile all their statements on what the President will do on T Bill to President Pranab Mukherjee himself.
Payyavula said if the President acts in a manner as recommended by the Union Cabinet, he might have to be branded as just another rubber stamp president.
Payyavula appealed to the President not to turn his office into an extension of 10, Janpath.
