JP addressed a press conference in the AP Bhavan premises to explain his action programme in Delhi. He announced his series of appointments with central leaders. JP said that he will meet Union minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao at 5.00 PM, BJP senior leader M. Venkaiah Naidu at 6.00 PM and Union minister Jaipal Reddy afterwards. He was also to meet GoM member Jairam Ramesh late in the evening.

He also said he proposed a special status for backesrd Rayala Seema and northern Andhra regions.Although JP never said he is opposed to Telangana, members of Telangana advocates JAC and some students grew impatient and obstructed his press meet.

An advocate was seen holding JP’s tie by hand and questioning him in an agitated mode.Delhi police swung into action and removed the agitating lawyers and J had to call off his press meet.

JP faced a similar humiliation at the Assembly media point last year, as a person identified as driver of TRS floor leader Etela Rajender, slapped his head from behind.
