The Election Commission officials have just finished counting the votes polled for Kakinada Municipal Corporation, and the final set of results are totally in place for ruling Telugu Desham Party – lived up to the exit poll survey results.
Out of 48 wards in total, TDP has won in 38 wards and opposition YSRCP has emerged victorious in just 10 wards. TDP’s ally BJP managed to win 3 wards and others (TDP Rebels) won 3. Since Telugu Desham party has won Kakinada Muncipal election after 25+ years, the party cadre is celebrating the victory in large scale.
Two parties gave high priority to Kakinada Corporation polls and top-brass from both TDP & YSRCP (including ministers) have campaigned extensively to win the election. On other hand, a minor setback for TDP is ruling party MLA Konda Babu’s son Shiva Prasad is trailing.
This win, followed by Nandyal, is a big boost for ruling and all the winners while speaking to media attributed and thanked Chief Minister Chandrababu Babu Naidu for his development activities in Kakinada division.
