Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Kavuri has alleged that some leaders had told cock and bull stories to the Congress party high command, and made it to take a decision on division of the state. He said that both regions would be affected if the state is divided. He said that he always brought to the notice of the party high command in every Cabinet meeting that the decision on division was not correct on the part of the centre.
He said that he didn’t know about the Chief Minister addressing letters to the Prime Minister and President of the nation. He said there was no truth in the statement of senior Congress leader JC Diwakar Reddy that the Congress party has colluded with YSRCP.
Stating that he stuck to the United Andhra Pradesh state, Kavuri said that the government will extend compensation to the farmers who lost their crops due to the floods. He said that he will speak on this issue with the Chief Minister.
