After MLAs Suspensions in Assembly, Five Congress MLCs Suspended

After the disqualifications of two Congress Members and the suspension of eleven MLAs from the house, similar things followed in the council as well. Five Congress MLCs were suspended from the house for the rest of the Budget session.

The suspended members include Leader of Opposition in the Council – Shabbir Ali, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, Damodar Reddy, Akula Lalitha, and Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy. They were suspended on the charges of creating ruckus during the Governor’s Address.

Almost all of the Congress MLAs and MLCs were suspended for the rest of the session which means the government is going to table its last budget before the 2019 elections without the main opposition in both the houses.
