In what can be a huge blow to YSRCP, Jagan who have been chasing to forge a pre-poll allinace with Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena after Pawan’s recent attack on TDP, in a fresh interview, Pawan has made his party’s stand clear that it would contest elections alone in 2019 without having an alliance with TDP or BJP or YSRCP.
However, Pawan said that he would sail with both the communist parties (CPM, CPI) as part of the long understanding with them.
No Change in Stand on YSRCP
Pawan maintained that he is committed to his remarks, allegations made against Jagan, YSRCP’s corruption back in 2014. Pawan also ruled out the alliance with YSRCP although both are contesting against TDP.
“Back in 2014, many have requested me not to target Jagan. Even people who admire me in Vizag have requested me not to criticize Jagan as they like Jagan. Yet I didn’t change my opinion since there is no place for personal opinions when I’m in politics. Even today, I’m committed to my allegations against Jagan,” Pawan said.
Allegations on TDP
Veering towards TDP on which he breathed fire at Janasena Maha Sabha, Pawan said that whatever he had said in the meeting were earlier told to Chandrababu Naidu in person. Pawan opined that the corruption in TDP government has reached its peak point.
On Amaravati Lands
“Yes, I agree that only one fourth (1/4th) of the 33,000 acres land procured for the Capital City would be utilised. But when I had discussed with Chandrababu back then, he had agreed that 14,000 acres would be enough to build the capital city and he would build the capital near Mangalagiri forest if the forest lands are denotified. But later, the state government procured 33,000 acres land from farmers through Land Pooling. I’m questioning this. All the allegations I had made at Janasena Maha Sabha were earlier told to Chandrababu Naidu personally. I’ve been repeatedly telling that there is scope for regional disparities in Kalingandhra, Rayalaseema. The same was happened in Telangana issue too,” said Pawan.
Special Category Status
Coming to the topic of Special Category Status, Pawan said he had asked Modi about Special Category Status four years ago and said he still abides by it. Pawan claimed that Janasena is committed to bringing Special Category Status to AP and all the promises made by the Centre in AP Reogranization Act.
“I was the first one who raised my voice against Modi, Centre. I have been demanding for Special Category Status since beginning. Very soon, I’ll announce my action plan on bringing Special Category Status to AP,” Pawan was quoted as saying.
North Dominating South
“I was the first one to raise the domination of North on South States. Then, many have condemned my remarks and spoken against me. Today AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, Karnataka CM Sidda Ramaiah too speaking the same,” shared Pawan Kalyan.
Fathima College Issue
“No doubt, the issue of students of Fathima Institute of Medicals Sciences (FIMS) is under the purview of the Centre. But it would be nice if the State also intervene on humanitarian ground and ensure the issue is resolved smoothly. Sometimes, government should act based on humanitarian grounds,” said Pawan.
