A political party with ‘Janasena’ is being registered with the Election commission on Monday.
The actor wants to contest for the Lok Sabha from the Anakapalle or Visakhapatnam constituency.
According to sources, the actor told his friends that whether anyone joins his party or not, he will contest the Lok Sabha elections. Pavan Kalyan had opposed the merger of the Praja Rajyam, launched by his brother and Union minister K. Chiranjeevi, with the Congress. It was reported that the actor was not on talking terms with his brother after the merger. As recently as three days ago, Pavan Kalyan avoided meeting Mr Chiranjeevi during a film function to launch their brother Nagababu’s son Varun Tej. However, in his statement, the actor made it clear that he had no differences with Mr Chiranjeevi.
Pavan Kalyan is said to be bitterly opposed to the Congress. He planned to launch the party after the state bifurcation issue came to the fore. There were also reports, vigorously denied by both sides, that he was planning to join the Telugu Desam. Sources said that Pavan Kalyan wanted to start a new party but stepped back following reports that Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy was planning to launch his own outfit. After confirming that the former CM had dropped the idea, the actor revived his plans.
