PCCs for Seemandhra and Telangana in 2 Days: Digvijay Singh

PCC-for-telanganaNew Delhi: Congress General Secretary in-charge of state affairs Digvijay Singh said separate PCCs for Seemandhra and Telangana will be constituted within one or two days.

Digvijay called a press meet to announce that he has been nominated to Rajya Sabha from his home state of Madhya Pradesh.

Election committees, campaign committees and manifesto committees will also be appointed. Digvijay said he will tour Telangana and Seemandhra after the announcement of these committees.

Digvijay said talks are going on with TRS on election tie-up and a conclusion can be arrived at, after a meeting with TRS Secretary general K. Keshava Rao on Monday.

Digvijay called floating of party by former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy as “unfortunate”. He said Kiran has not kept his promise.

According to Digvijay, Kiran has promised him that he will not float a new party a couple of days ago.

He called a tie-up with Kiran’s party as hypothetical.

He however welcomed setting up of party by Tollywood hero Pawan Kalyan, adding that he is welcome to merge his party with Congress.

He criticized former Union minister Purandheshwari for joining BJP. He said she has left Congress only to contest Lok Sabha elections from Vijayawada.
