Seemandhra capital between Vijayawada and Guntur finalised: MP Panabaka Laxmi


vijayawadaHyderabad: As both the houses of Parliament accepted for the formation of Telangana, the speculations reached its peak on the possible capital for Seemandhra state.

One report suggests that the area between Vijayawada and Guntur cities is finalized for building the new the capital for Andhra Pradesh excepting Telangana.

The capital may be built in the premises of Nagarjuna University after shifting its campus to P.G.Centre in Ongole.

Another report suggests that the centre is keeping the matter secret eventhough it has finalized the area as the new capital for Seemandhra.

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Panabaka Lakshmi said that the centre appointed a committee to finalize the land in between the cities for building the new capital. Her statement is giving strength to the matter.

However, some leaders are demanding the capital to be built in Kurnool and some other leaders are asking the same to be built in North Andhra region.
