Telangana Congress MLCs submits 14-page memorandum to GoM

telanganaHyderabad: Telangana Congress MLCs have submitted a 14-page memorandum to the Group of Ministers (GoM) on the bifurcation issue.

The MLCs said that the Article 371 (D) shall be amended. They also wanted continuation of Legislative Council after the division of the state.

The MLCs wanted to keep Hyderabad as joint capital of both the states for a limited period of three to five years and during this period, the new capital for residual Andhra Pradesh shall be built.

On the issue of administering Hyderabad in the interim period, the MLCs suggested a Board that will have the Chief Ministers, Chief Secretaries and DGPs of the both the states as members.

The MLCs demanded allocation of more surplus waters in the river Krishna to Telangana.They wanted setting up of a 4000 MW power plant near the Singareni collieries.
