Ammammagari Illu to portray Telugu culture and nativity


After delivering a hit film Chalo, young actor Naga Shaurya has proved that he has good potential at the box-office. Although the film had a budget of Rs 7 crore, it gave the producers more than Rs 10 crore of profits. His next film Ammammagari Illu, directed by Sundar Surya, will hit the screens soon.

The film is currently in post-production and may release this coming May. “The film’s satellite rights sold out for a Rs 2.75 crore,” say the producers, who add that they are getting good offers for the Hindi dubbing and digital rights.

“The title reveals that the film completely belongs to Telugu culture and nativity and every scene is going to be memorable,” says the director. Shamili is the female lead opposite Shaurya, The actress is staging a comeback into Tollywood after Oye (2009).
