Inspired by Telangana Minister KTR’s timely helping work to various needy, hero Vijay Devarakonda announced that he will auction his debut ‘Filmfare Trophy’ and donate the proceedings to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. And here comes an interesting thing.
Other day at the launch of Vijay’s clothing line “Rowdy Club” he has collected Rs 25 lakhs cheque from Divi Labs MD’s wife Shakuntala Divi as they have offered the highest bid to grab the ‘black lady’ trophy. During this happening, after giving over the cheque to Vijay Devarkonda, actually, she offered the trophy to Vijay only saying that it will get fulfillment only if the award stays at Vijay’s house.
However, the ‘Arjun Reddy’ actor refused to take the trophy back as he feels that it’s not ethical to keep the trophy with him even after auctioning it. As that he auctioned it for a good cause, appreciations are flowing from all corners for the young hero.
Beating the likes of Chiranjeevi, Jr NTR and Prabhas, Vijay has won Filmfare trophy for ‘Best Actor’ at the recently concluded Filmfare awards.
