Arjun Reddy, featuring Vijay Devarakonda, started off as a small film before going on to become the biggest news pieces of this year. In its full run, the sensational film has minted more than 50 Crores at box-office and now, filmmakers from other regional languages are approaching for the remake rights.
Firstly, Tamil actor Vikram announced its remake in Tamil with his Dhruva (debut) in the main lead. Critically acclaimed director Bala is directing it. The makers now came up with a title for the film as ‘Varma’.
This title is grabbing all attention because of the reason that it is suffix of maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who was all praise for the sensational film right from its release. Initially, fans of Vikram expected the title of Tamil version to be ‘Chiyaan’, as the role of Arjun Reddy is close to Vikram’s first film ‘Sethu’. But, the makers came up with a contrast title – ‘Varma’
