The Bangalore distributors of Tamil movie Arrambam has decided to halt the screening of the movie on November 1, due to the celebration of Kannada Rajyotsava. Movie starring Ajith Kumar in the lead role is all set to hit screens across the globe on October 31, Thursday.
Leading news portal reported that the Tamil films usually face release issue in Karnataka, that too mainly in the first week of November. So, the distributors have decided to play safe by not screening the movie on November 1, as, it is likely to be opposed by the pro-Kannada outfits.
It is also said that the distributors have decided not to release Arrambam in Mysore and Mandya, where the anti-Tamil sentiments are high on Rajyotsava. In a statement given to portal, a distributor said, “This year too, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have fought over the share of Cauvery river water sharing. We do not want pro-Kannada organizations to make a case out of Arrambam.
Therefore, we are not taking any chances.” However, Bangalore Box Office is all set to have huge blast for this Diwali with the much anticipated movies like Raja Huli, All In All Azhagu Raja, Pandiayanaadu and Masala.
