A little more than a week has passed, ever since the news of Sridevi’s death broke. Bollywood is still grappling with the loss of their Chandni, their first female superstar, as she was popularly called.
If recent media reports are to be believed, husband Boney Kapoor, who produced several of her films, wishes to make a documentary on his late wife. The film will be directed by Shekhar Kapur.
The Asian Age has quoted a source saying, “It will be a kind of one-stop visual legacy on her life and cinema, with the rarest of rare footage and voices of everyone who mattered in her life.”
The source further added, “Boney is very disturbed by what he considers untruths that are being spread about his wife’s death.”
Shekhar had directed Sridevi in her milestone film, Mr India.
Sridevi passed away in Dubai, on February 24. She was found unconscious in the bathtub, and according to the death certificate, she died due to accidental drowning. Her mortal remains were flown in to Mumbai from Dubai on February 27, and a state funeral was held on February 28. Thousands of fans and celebrities came to bid goodbye to the iconic actress.
