Gangstars grabs positive buzz

Amazon Prime Video launched its first Telugu prime exclusive series titled GangStars (12 episode series)on Wednesday. It is  going to be started on Amazon Prime from 1st June . On Wednesday, the makers screened couple of episodes to the media and few selected people at Ramanaidu studios in Hyderabad. Everyone praised the content and performance of its casts. Jagapathi Babu, Navdeep, Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Swetha Basu Prasad, Apoorva Arora, Posani Krishna Murali, Sivaji, Prithvi and several others are part of  GangStars.

Directed by Ajay Bhuyan  and produced by Silly Monks Entertainment and Early Monsoon Tales, a web division of Vyjayanthi Movies, the series brings together some of the best talent from Tollywood. It will be available in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The story is written by Nandini Reddy whereas the music is scored by Sai Karthik.

Sanjay Reddy,  the Managing director of Silly Monks Entertainment said, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Amazon Prime Video to create one of the first exclusives on the service in a regional language. We are confident that  the audinces will love what we have in store for them in GangStars. The series  GangStars has strong storyline and all the star cast did  very hard work.”

Jagapathi Babu said that  GangStars has something for everyone- a blend of drama, comedy and thriller. It has  a great script and I have complete faith in the director, producer and Amazon Prime Video for bringing the vision of this show to the life.

Jagapathi Babu is  playing a gangster who has been diagnosed with cancer, Navdeep is essaying the role of megalomaniac actor. Sidhu Jonnalagadda is struggling filmmaker and Apoorva Arora, a new film producer whereas Swetha Basu Prasad is playing an actress.  GangStars- this series is the second Indian Amazon Prime original after R Madhavan and Amit Sadh’s thriller, Breathe.

While the series GangStars is made in Telugu, it will also be available in Tamil and Hindi for Prime viewers. Yesterday, Amazon PrimeVideo IN  shared a pic on Twitter and wrote, “Power, love, fame, and fate! What happens when everything collides? #GangStars 2 days to go.@IamJagguBhai @ooltiKhopdee @shweta_official @pnavdeep26” Today morning the makers wrote, “A gangster, two actors and two ex-lovers caught up in a crazy plot. It all unfolds in 1 day. #GangStars @IamJagguBhai @ooltiKhopdee @shweta_official @pnavdeep26”
