Keeping the competition between the heroes aside, the fire between fans of two big stars seems never dying. They tend to throw tantrums on others and fight over the results of their hero movies on social media. Especially in Kollywood, this war between Ajith and Vijay fans is many times taking some ugly turns.
Ajith is a hero who has a massive fan following and star image in Kollywood. He is one such versatile and talented actor who can give competition to senior most heroes as well provided with good scripts. We know that his 2014 released Veeram became a blockbuster at the box office. The movie not only broke the records at silver screens but also recorded highest TRP rating for its first TV Premiere, while its Telugu version Katamarayudu is a big disaster.
Veeram recorded the highest TRP of 18.1 on small screens. which is higher than all the other star hero films including Kabali(11.7), Aramm (11.0), Karuppan (10.5) and Mersal (8.5). But the fight is about its second run of this film on TV where the film got 9 TRP and fans started claiming that their star’s film showed stars to Vijay TV Awards that got a TRP of 10 which was aired around the same time. In this process, Ajith fans are going head to show that their Thala is king of television too.
In reality, TRP game also depends on the time of airing including holidays, evenings and stuff being telecast on other competitive channels. A flop film like Kabali raked up 300 crores gross in no time, while Veeram didn’t collected such: that doesn’t mean Kabali is a hit, isn’t it? Same applies to Veeram on TV!!
