Prabhas‘ Baahubali 2: The Conclusion broke all box office records when it released earlier this year. The movie was one of the most anticipated films of the year and it set several benchmarks that we didn’t think any film would break anytime soon. However, looks like Shah Rukh Khan‘s Jab Harry Met Sejal has already equalled a record that was set by Baahubali 2, that too even before it has released. Surprised? Well, as we revealed to you the advance bookings for Jab Harry Met Sejal has already begun. And if you take a close look at the ticket rates, then you will realise that the costliest ticket is priced at Rs 2400. Baahubali 2‘s costliest ticket was also priced at the same price. This means Jab Harry Met Sejal and Baahubali 2 now hold the record of selling the costliest tickets ever.
For those of you who don’t know, PVR: Director’s Cut, Ambience in Delhi is selling the costliest ticket for Jab Harry Met Sejal, priced at Rs 2400. Apart from that, PVR: Ambience in Gurgaon and PVR: Select City Walk (Gold) in Delhi are selling tickets at Rs 2000. In Mumbai, PVR Icon: Versova (Gold) is selling tickets for Rs 1500, while Inox Laserplex: CR2, Nariman Point has the costliest ticket priced at Rs 1200. Obviously, there are cheaper options available too, but quite clearly, the ticket prices are above the average costs for Jab Harry Met Sejal.
Talking about this particular record, Ranbir Kapoor’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil comes in second place with its costliest ticket priced at Rs 2200, while Salman Khan’s Sultan comes in third place with its costliest ticket priced at Rs 1800. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Jab Harry Met Sejal also stars Anushka Sharma. The movie is all set to release this Friday (August 4).
