At last, an official announcement on the long-pending Southern remake of 2014 hit Bollywood film ‘Queen’ came out on Saturday. The very lovely Kajal Aggarwal will reprise the lead role enacted by Kangana Ranaut in the original. The remake has been titled ‘Paris Paris’.
Actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind will direct Kajal in the remake. Milky beauty Tamanna was earlier in talks to play the lead role but she was replaced by Kajal ultimately. The film will be officially launched tomorrow, on Sunday via Facebook Live. Amy Jackson will reportedly play the second most crucial character in the film, heroine’s friend character.
“Queen” narrates the story of a woman whose fiance calls off the wedding on the D-day. She then alone takes off to Paris, where she planned to go with her husband for honeymoon. She meets a good friend there (Amy Jackson will reportedly play this role), and the vacation helps her discover the person she really is.
With her flawless and lively performance, Kangana won the Best Actress National Award and set very high standards. We need to see whether Kajal can replicate Kangana’s brilliance.
