balakrishna-telephoned-kcrNandamuri Balakrishna and director Krish attempting to revisit India’s history and thus making a film on India’s mighty Telugu warrior Satakarni (ruled the India in 2nd Century AD) is being touted as the Telugu pride.

As the film is inching closer towards its release on the eve of Sankranthi (Jan 12), which again is the major Telugu festival and festival of farmers, the makers of GPSK are hoping to get tax exemption from the governments of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana.

Since TDP government is in ruling and it’s giving due importance to the film considering Satakarni’s rich historic significance besides its connection to the film’s protagonist Balayya, TDP government is expected exempt the film from the entertainment tax levied by the state govt.

And now all eyes are on KCR about the T-state’s exemption on the entertainment tax on the film. Already Balayya has met KCR on Friday at his house after the Assembly session and asked him to watch the special screening of the film.

One has to wait and see whether KCR would give in the tax exemption to GPSK or not. An announcement regarding the tax exemption to GPSK is expected to made by Friday evening or latest by Saturday morning.
