Though not sure if it is good news or bad news to mega fans, the latest rumor in Krishnanagar and Filmnagar is that creative director Krishna Vamsi is likely to direct Chiranjeevi in his 150th film. But many believe that this duo working together will depend on the success of Govindhudu Andarivadele, directed by Krishna Vamsi. During the teaser launch of GAV, speech by Krishna Vamsi indicated that the director for Chiru’s 150th film hasn’t yet been finalized.
Though V.V. Vinayak’s name was prominently heard earlier, there were also rumors that Krishna Vamsi could direct Chiru in the prestigious landmark film. Krishna Vamsi made many efforts to direct ‘Vandemataram’, a story based on freedom struggle with Chiru. When Chiru suggested few changes to the script, KV was unhappy and dropped his chance to direct Megastar. All this was revealed by Krishna Vamsi himself. There is news that KV changed his mind and agreed to make those changes to direct the film with Chiru.
If not the 150th film, Krishna Vamsi could possibly direct Chiru in his next film. Many years ago, Chiru also made a public statement that the story line of ‘Vandemataram’ is fantastic but had reservations if it appeals to the current generation. If Govindhudu Andarivadele strikes gold at the box office, it is highly possible that KV could direct Chiru soon.
