Director Krish was supposed to make a film with Mahesh Babu. However, the film didn’t materialize owing to some reasons. Then, Krish forayed to Bollywood, when he got call from Sanjay Leela Bhansali to direct Gabbar Is Back, Hindi version of Telugu super hit Tagore. The Akshay Kumar starrer film was an above average grosser. Krish now recalls that, Mahesh Babu and his wife Namrata Shirodker backed him getting the Bollywood offer.
Krish who is presently busy with promotions of his next Telugu attraction Kanche starring Varun Tej and Pragya Jaiswal stated, “Mahesh Babu and Namrata were the reason for me getting Bollywood film Gabbar Is Back. They had recommended my name to co-producer Shabinaa Khan for the film. Mahesh also tweeted about Kanche, after the film’s teaser got released. Likewise, Charan, Bunny, NTR and Rajamouli also phoned me to praise the teaser.”
Krish is hoping to make a film with Mahesh Babu sometime in the future. The director has also revealed of preparing a script for Ram Charan. “I have already completed first half and will narrate the story to Charan after finishing the second half,” informs Krish.
About Kanche, Krish affirmed, “I could make the film that has huge span with a star hero. Rather enhancement in budget, it didn’t seem a favorable thought for me. I could see honesty and integrity in Varun Tej who has shapely physique to play a soldier. Varun performed beyond my expectations. Kanche will attract all kinds of audiences.”
