Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu’s Spyder with AR Murugadoss is one of the highly anticipated releases this year. According to recent developments, the theatrical rights of Spyder has been bagged by Lyca Productions for a whopping price of Rs 25 crore.
It must be noted that Lyca Productions is bankrolling the costliest Indian film, 2.0, which stars superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the lead. Raju Mahalingam, creative head of Lyca Production took to Twitter to share the news.

Spyder is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual made on a lavish budget of Rs 110 crore. Interestingly, Mahesh Babu has dubbed his own voice for the Tamil version.
The teaser of Spyder received fantastic reception from fans. In fact, some of the Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar and Abhishek Bachchan praised Mahesh Babu on Twitter.
Last seen in Brahmotsavam, Mahesh Babu is touted to play a stylish intelligent officer. Reports also suggest that the film will touch upon themes like bio-terrorism.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, has Rakul Preet Singh and SJ Suryah in pivotal roles. Spyder, which was supposed to release on June 23, is expected to hit the screens on September 29.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu will be teaming up with Koratala Siva for Bharat Ane Nenu, which will have Anushka Shetty in a special song.
