Writer-director-actor Posani Krishnamurali, who is a severe critic of present politics, has reportedly landed a key role in a political film. According to reports, he will essay the role of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s close aide, Sureedu, in the former’s biopic, “Yatra”.
E. Surya Narayana Reddy alias Sureedu was the close aide and personal assistant of YSR. He allegedly enjoyed power almost on par with any cabinet minister during YSR’s regime. He had been with YSR for nearly three decades, until his death.
Sureedu had been away from politics and limelight ever since YSR’s death. Reports allege that YS Jagan kept him at distance despite he had been a trusted aide of his father for thirsty years.
Yatra, which chronicles the famous ‘padayatra’ undertaken by YSR before 2004 elections, will have Posani playing the role of Sureedu. The eccentric actor is said to be the first choice of makers and he didn’t had any qualms in taking up the role.
