The most expected Mumbai Film Festival will begin from October 29th. Over 150 films from across the world will be screened at the 17th edition of Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. Nita Ambani is the founder and chair person and it was officially announced by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI).
This year is going to be huge as the festival has received 248 feature film submissions from 29 languages. The event will be a huge one this time and there will be even some World premieres.
Director Dibakar Bannerjee says,”Audiences at Jio MAMI will get a chance to watch 31 Indian films that have never been shown before in India.”This year the festival is introducing a new section and has named it as ‘After Dark’. This section will bring collection of Horror and Science Fiction genres. This year there will be 6 movies in this section.
This time they have announced a special interactive session where Children will learn the art of film-making from talented and eminent directors and writers. The trophy for this festival is designed by famous jewellery designer Nirav Modi.
