Akkineni Nagarjuna is one of the senior Telugus stars who acted in other language films as well. He acted in Tamil, Hindi straight films and he is a well-known actor across India. The latest update reveals that King Nag is entering Malayalam film industry.
Director Priyadarshan reportedly approached Nagarjuna for a key role in his upcoming film ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’ starring Mohan Lal and Nag also agreed to act in the film. Priyadarshan shares a close friendship with Nagarjuna and he directed Nagarjuna film ‘Nirnayam’ which was a runaway hit at the box office. It is known that Nagarjuna launched Priyadarshan’s daughter Kalyani Priyadarshan as a heroine with Akhil’s movie ‘Hello’.
Priyadarshan also roped Bollywood hero Suniel Shetty for another important role for the same film. ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’, a big budget movie inspired by the life of 16th Century naval chief Kunjali Marakkar who fought with Portuguese.
Nagarjuna’s latest film ‘Officer’ is slated for the release on May 25. Apart from this film, he is working on a multi-starrer with Nani.
