The movie was sold to distributors for normal rates as its genre has limited appeal. Surprisingly, it took bumper openings in all areas and the team’s marketing trick has paid well.
“Ninnu Kori” has collected a share of Rs 18 Cr worldwide so far. It will also be touching the one-million dollars mark this Friday in the US market.
Although the movie saw huge drop in collections in Telugu states after Wednesday, it has already put the buyers in profits. So whatever money that comes from now will add to their kitty.
It is not a huge blockbuster as believed earlier, but it is definitely a good hit that brought smiles on the lips of all the parties involved.
Except “Majnu”, which was a dud, all Nani’s recent movies were either hits or blockbusters.
“Ninnu Kori” also gave a new life to writer Kona Venkat’s career.
