These are the days where we can’t simply hide the source from where a film is copied. Rather lifting up stories and getting embroiled in controversies, some directors like Vamsi Paidipally are giving credit to original writers by acquiring rights.
That’s what happened int he case of “Oopiri” which is started as a new film but later confirmed that it’s remake of French film ‘The Intouchables’. Yet again, we hear that Vamsi got inspired by another foreign work and this time he’s getting all the paperwork done before taking the film to sets.
We hear that his next featuring Mahesh Babu in the lead has its storyline inspired by an Australian TV series that is written by Newzealand based writer and director Peter Salmon. Reports are coming that one of his crime series is the backbone of Mahesh’s film and will be adapted to suit Telugu audiences.
Rather facing severe criticism on social media after releasing the trailer and further getting embarrassed in case if original movie makers tweet something, it is best to buy rights, is what Dil Raju is said to have advised Vamsi about the movie. Watch this space for more updates.
