Noel, Damon end feud by performing together,Liam is not impressed

allagher-Brothers,Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn spent a couple of decades hating each other, but on March 23, they were just two aging rockers performing together for a good cause.

The former Oasis member and Blur frontman teamed up for a Teenage Cancer Trust benefit, singing Blur’s 1999 hit “Tender.”

As Billboard notes, Blur and Oasis’ rivalry was serious enough to be seen as the divide between the nation’s northerners (Oasis) and southerners (Blur). In 1995, Blur purposefully released “Country House” on the same day Oasis dropped “Roll With It,” and went on to outsell the Gallagher brothers by 58,000 copies.

Blur will headline a night of the Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival this year. Other big names performing at the show include the Stone Roses, Phoenix and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

This time last year, Albarn said he was disbanding Blur and that he probably wouldn’t make any new music with his other band, the Gorillaz.

Liam Gallagher, Noel’s onetime Oasis bandmate and now sworn enemy, wasn’t amused by the sight of Noel and Albarn burying their hatchet, saying he didn’t know if it was “worse than sipping champagne with a war criminal.”
