In 1998, India became a nuclear power. This was achieved after a series of nuclear tests in the state of Pokhran. As the international political atmosphere was tense, the mission was a complete secret.
Based on the incident, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, starring John Abraham and Diana Penty, tells the story of India’s journey to becoming a nuclear power.
The film has been delayed several times, owing to fights between John’s production company, JA Entertainment and Prernaa Arora’s KriArj Entertainment.
On March 31, in a public notice, John announced that they had cancelled their agreement with KriArj with regard to Parmanu.
KriArj then went on to claim that JA Entertainment’s notice was ‘false and illegal’ and that the Prernaa Arora-headed production house was looking at legal action against them.
John shared the teaser on his Instagram page, and Twitter.
Parmanu is now expected to hit the screens on May 4.
