meera-jasmine-marriageThe Kerala High Court on Tuesday directed the police to ensure that law and order is maintained during the marriage of actor Meera Jasmine with Anil John Titus.

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Manjula Chellur and Justice A M Shaffique issued the order while disposing of a petition by Anil John Titus, who had sought police protection for their marriage function.

Anil is an engineer by profession and has been working in Dubai for the last eight years.

The marriage is scheduled to be held on Wednesday at CSI Mateer Memorial Church, Palayam.

In his petition, Anil stated that his former friend Navya Natarajan is trying to prevent his marriage with Meera.

According to him, Navya and he had plans to get married and on her insistence, they went through some ceremony at Tirupati. Later, Navya filed a case before the family court in Bangalore seeking divorce, but the court found that the marriage is a ‘nullity’ and dismissed the petition.

Navya had visited Meera’s house on January 23 and told her about her relationship with Anil. She also threatened her that she would not allow the marriage to take place.
