President Barack Obama to do a cameo in ‘The Butler’?

Barack-Obama-cameo-in-The-BHas US President Barack Obama turned down the offer to make a cameo in the upcoming film ‘The Butler’? Well, there are two different stories circulating about why President Obama doesn’t take his place in the movie alongside a number of leading actors playing former US presidents.

Conservative blogger Matt Drudge tweeted that the president declined an offer to make an appearance in the upcoming film Lee Daniels’ ‘The Butler’. The movie is about a White House butler who served eight Commanders in Chief.

After Drudge’s tweet, director Daniels said, “No, I was too afraid to ask him. We wanted him to do it,” Daniels said, and it was in the script for him to make an appearance. “But he was running for office, so I think he had better things—more important things [to do].”

Therefore, its confirmed now that Obama is not playing a cameo in the movie. Orlando Eric Street is listed as the actor who will be portraying President Obama in the film, which is set to be released on August 16.

The film is based on the book written by Eugene Allen, an African American butler who worked in the White House during eight presidencies, including that of Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Reagan and Nixon.
