Internet sensation Priya Prakash Varrier finds herself in legal trouble again. A new complaint has come up against the viral song Oru Adaar Love and Priya Varrier’s winking act. As per reports on Hindustan Times, two Hyderabad based parties have filed a plea in Supreme Court particularly against the winking act, stating it is a forbidden act in Islam. Those objecting to the act have asked the Supreme court to hear their petition out before they give out the verdict on Priya’s petition to crush the criminal charges.
In February 2018, after the song and Priya Prakash Varrier had become a rage, legal complaints were filed against the to-be-actress and the director stating the lyrics of the song allegedly offended the Prophet Muhammad. When Priya approached the court to squash the charges, the Supreme court ordered a stay on all proceedings against her and the director. The court also made it clear that no FIR could be filed against them for allegedly hurting the Muslim community and their sentiments.
