Actress Priyanka Jawalkar seems to be turning heads even before her debut film with Vijay Deverakonda, Taxi Wala, releases. The Maharashtrian girl, who hails from Anantapur, has landed a biggie in Kannada opposite one of the reigning superstars, Puneeth Rajkumar.
“The makers were looking for a fresh face and Priyanka felt like the perfect choice. Producer Rockline Venkatesh apparently saw several profiles before zeroing in on her name. Priyanka has had a long wait for her first film’s release and is quite excited to have got such a big break,” shares a source.
Directed by Pavan Wadeyar, the sci-fi thriller will be shot from the first week of March and has music by D. Imman. “The makers have been doing extensive pre-production and the only thing they were looking for was to finalise their leading lady, a role which ultimately went to Priyanka,” adds the source.
